Top 5 Kid Friendly Mocktails

If your kids are old enough to stay up to watch the ball drop, chances are they want to be a part of the midnight toast as well. So we’ve put together our Top 5 Kid Friendly Mocktails to ring in the New Year.

1. Peach Sunshine

Peach nectar, either fresh or bottled, soda and citrus simple syrup

Unless you have a juicer at home or some seriously strong paws, I suggest buying the bottled version of the peach nectar. As for the simple syrup, simply juice some oranges and lemons into a measuring cup. Measure equal parts sugar and heat together in a saucepan until the sugar is completely dissolved. I promise you’ll find so many uses for this.

2. Lemon Fizzzzzz

Fresh squeezed lemon juice with soda and pop rocks. Bonus points if you make your own pop rocks.

Though they’re not great for you in large quantities, a couple pop rocks for effect in this drink is all you really need. Add the lemon juice and soda and your mouth will be all pyoom! pyoom! pyoom!

3. Mango Tango

Mango,banana, yogurt milk

Throw everything in a blender and add a colorful playful straw. And since this drink is cool, creamy and refreshing, it’s also perfect for a warm summer day.

4. Shirley Temple

Ginger ale, grenadine and maraschino cherry

An old favorite. Super easy to make at any self-respecting bar. And the ginger ale could always be swapped out with lemon-lime soda if that’s all you have on hand.

5. Sparkling Cider

Straight from the bottle

There’s something about that bottle that makes kids feel like they’re in on the family gathering action. Grab a couple though. They go really quick!
