How Did The Kitchen Crew Get Started?

My name is Cora and I own The Kitchen Crew. I’ve known for a long time that I wanted to have my own business. After having two children, I realized that I wanted to spend more time with them and we also realized how important whole eating was to our family. And so, The Kitchen Crew was born as a way to live out one of my passions and help others along the way.

We held our very first class in my living room in February, 2017. I invited some of my friends who also had children. The kids were a little young, but we still had so much fun. My goal for the class was to find out if it was doable. Would I have fun? Would the kids have fun? Turns out, both were true. There were about 6 or 7 children and we made gnocchi with pesto and crispy prosciutto, shortbread cookies, and snickerdoodle ice cream all from scratch. And it was perfect!

Following that class, we’ve been holding regular classes at different temporary locations around the area, and even held a 2-week summer camp.

As we near our 1 year anniversary, we have so much to be thankful for, but we also have so many big plans for our future and can’t wait to share them with all of you.
